A brochure website, busy store and custom application have different database, caching, storage and availability needs. Review platform requirements and third-party integrations before choosing a package.
The provider should understand the domain, DNS, certificates, email and application stack well enough to investigate incidents across the complete path.

Document current services, credentials, DNS records, databases, mail dependencies and rollback steps. Test the new environment before changing live traffic, then monitor errors and performance closely after the move.
